Tana French: Literary Mystery at its Finest

Pick up a Tana French novel and read it. You’ll be glad you did.

I usually preface my reading recommendations with ‘If you like this-or-that kind of mystery…’ or ‘This book won’t be for everyone…’ Well, that’s not the case when it comes to writer Tana French.

Read any one of her novels and you’ll become a fan. From her literary prose to the emotional depth of her characters, Ms. French creates lush, atmospheric stories that feel authentic and relatable. And although I am an absolute fan of the Doublin Murder Squad series, I just finished THE SEARCHER and have been taken in by character Cal Hooper, a retired Chicago detective now living in a small village in rural Irland. You can bet the next two books in this series, THE HUNTER and THE KEEPER, are on my reading list!
