I USUALLY PREFACE MY reading recommendations with ‘If you like this-or-that kind of mystery…’ or ‘This book won’t be for everyone…’ That’s not the case when it comes to writer Tana French. Read any one of her novels and you’ll become a fan. From her literary prose to the emotional depth of her characters, Ms. French creates lush, atmospheric stories that feel authentic and relatable. And although I am an absolute fan of the Doublin Murder Squad series, I just finished THE SEARCHER and must say, character Cal Hooper, retired Chicago detective now living in a small village in rural in Irland, has won me over. You can bet THE HUNTER and THE KEEPER are next on my reading list!
